WARRANTY INFORMATION

If you're here, it probably means that you have a defective product on your hands but you are still willing to giving it another go. We just want to take this opportunity to thank you for that second chance!

Ironclad 1 Year Warranty

Gears Canada is and always will be a company that prioritizes design and quality over everything else. To us, using the highest quality, longest-lasting materials is one of the most important aspects of designing new products. 

We provide an ironclad one-year manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase on all GEARS products except for our batteries, for which we offer a 30-day manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase. Gears Canada may extend the length of the warranty beyond 1 year; if such extension is in effect it is clearly mentioned in the product description.

Gears Canada warrants GEARS products against defects in material, manufacturing, or workmanship under normal use within the applicable Warranty Period, subject to conditions contained in this limited warranty. This manufacturer warranty strictly does not cover damages to the product or personal property, such as your smartphone, that arise from negligence, misuse, normal wear and tear, modification, accident (dropping the product, etc.), or not following the instructions.

    Warranty Claim Procedures

    • Claims for defective merchandise must be made within the timeframe specified by the warranty.
    • Warranty claims should be submitted by contacting customer service
    • Proof of purchase and either a picture or video of the product defect are required to submit a valid warranty claim.

    If your GEARS product is defective and a valid warranty claim has been submitted, we will send you a brand new replacement. In some cases, you may be required to return the defective product for inspection. We cannot guarantee that the exact style, colour, or product for the claim will be in stock at the time that your warranty claim is processed but we wouldn't want you to be left empty-handed! In this case, we will offer store credit in the amount paid for the original item. The store credit never expires and will be valid for any product found at www.gearscanada.com.

    All warranty claims for items that were not purchased directly from www.gearscanada.com must include proof of purchase from a powersports dealership. Items purchased from other resellers will not be valid for returns or warranty claims.


    "5 BULLET POINT" RETURN POLICY

    • For a refund or exchange, you must return your item(s) within 30 days of your order's ship date
    • The returned item(s) must be in original condition and packaging
    • Products that have been 'taken out for a ride' or have had their tags removed are considered used and cannot be returned or exchanged
    • The cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund unless the product is defective
    • Any shipping charges that were initially applied to your order are non-refundable

    Requesting a refund?

    We’ll process your refund on the original method of payment once we receive and inspect the item(s). You’ll receive an email once the refund is issued. Free gifts and gift cards cannot be refunded.

    Requesting an exchange?

    The item(s) that you are returning will be processed as a REFUND. So please place a NEW order yourself. This will ensure that the gear you want doesn't go out of stock while the return and refund process is underway.

    Store credits (if applicable)

    Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item(s). We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your store credit.

    If approved, your store credit will be processed, and a digital gift card will be emailed to you within a few days, which can be applied to your account and used to purchase any item on this website.

    Any shipping charges applied when initially placing the order will not be included in the gift card. 

    Return of Gifts

    If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a digital gift card will be emailed to you. 

    If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
